9.19.21 Mission Sunday: "Two Reasons for Rejoicing"
Jody and Sarah Fox along with their 4 children, Camryn (15), Jordan (14), Lauren (12), and Xavier (6) live and serve the Lord in Niger, West Africa. They serve as missionaries with the International Missions Board (IMB) which is the missions sending agency of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). For the last 10 years the Foxes have sought to take the Gospel to some of the least and unreached people of West Africa.
The people of Niger are primarily a Muslim people group with deep roots in tribal religions. 99.0% of the population claim the religion of Islam. The people of Niger are also extremely poor, with one of the world’s worst literacy rates. The struggle for the basic aspects of life – food, clothes, and medical care – are very real. However, their need for Christ is even greater.
The Foxes, as well as their team, are seeking to encourage and train African believers to reach Niger for Christ. Please pray that African believers will be trained and empowered by the Spirit of God to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all of Niger and to plant churches for His glory and fame.
